Dehya is a playable Pyro character in Genshin Impact.

A fierce and strong warrior, the "Flame-Mane" Dehya is considered a legend among the Eremites for her might, passion, and conscientiousness. Unwilling to be trapped by the conditions that force most from the desert to stay there, she aspires to deliver hope back to the sands that she considers her home.

Description[]

She is a member of the Eremites, a mercenary organization that roams the sands of Sumeru, the region of wisdom. She is known as the "Flame-Mane" for her fiery hair and personality, and she is a skilled warrior who wields a claymore and martial arts. She is brave, powerful, and enjoys a great reputation among her fellow mercenaries. She also has a strong sense of justice and will not hesitate to defend those who hire her or those who are oppressed by the tyrannical rulers of Sumeru. She has sky-blue eyes with yellow 'cat-eye' pupils, and dusky blonde-accented dark brown hair.

Story[]

Dehya as member of the Eremites, a mercenary organization that roams the sands of Sumeru.

Dehya's background and motivation. She was born in a small oasis village that was constantly harassed by bandits and corrupted officials. She learned to fight from her father, who was a former soldier of the Corps of Thirty, an elite unit that served under the Lion of the South. She also inherited her father's claymore, which was forged by the Lion himself. When her father died, she decided to join the Eremites to seek freedom and adventure in the desert.

Dehya's relationship with Dunyarzad, the leader of the Blazing Beasts brigade that Dehya belongs to. Dunyarzad is a devout follower of Lesser Lord Kusanali, one of the seven Lesser Lords who govern Sumeru under the rule of the God of Wisdom. Dunyarzad believes that Kusanali is the reincarnation of the Lion of the South, and she hopes to restore the glory and prosperity of Sumeru that was lost after the Lion's disappearance. Dehya respects Dunyarzad's faith and determination, but she does not share her religious views. She also secretly helps Dunyarzad with her financial troubles by selling her claymore and donating the money anonymously

Dehya's encounter with a mysterious traveler from another world, who claims to be looking for their lost sibling. Dehya is intrigued by the traveler's stories and abilities, and she decides to join them on their journey across Teyvat. Along the way, she learns more about the other regions and cultures, as well as the secrets and dangers that lurk in the world. She also develops a friendship with the traveler, who inspires her to pursure her own dreams and aspirations.

Dehya's ambition and vision. She reveals that she wants to become a legendary hero like the Lion of the South, who can protect and inspire people with her strength and charisma. She also wants to explore the unknown lands beyond Sumeru, where she believes there are more wonders and challenges waiting for her. She hopes that one day, she can return to her homeland with glory and honor, and bring hope and happiness to her people.

This is Dehya's story quest, where she investigates the history and secrets of the Lion of the South with the help of the traveler and Dunyarzad. They discover that the Lion was a benevolent ruler who unified Sumeru under his banner, and he was also a master of elemental magic who created many wonders and miracles. However, he also faced many enemies and conspiracies, both from within and outside his realm. He eventually vanished without a trace, leaving behind many mysteries and legends.

This is Dehya's vision story, where she recounts how she received her Pyro Vision from an unknown god after she defended a group of oppressed people from a tyrannical lord. She describes how she felt a surge of power and passion in her heart, as well as a voice that praised her courage and justice. She also speculates that the god who granted her vision might have been related to the Lion of the South, or perhaps even the Lion himself.

Behavior[]

She is a fierce and strong warrior who fights with a claymore and pyro vision. She can use her elemental skill, Fiery Sanctum, to create a field that damages enemies, reduces damage taken by allies, and generates dendro cores that can trigger her passive talent, Burgeon. She can also use her elemental burst, Flame of the Desert, to unleash a series of powerful slashes that deal pyro damage and heal her based on her max HP. However, while using her burst, she cannot perform normal or charged attacks.

Dehya is a passionate and conscientious mercenary who values freedom and justice. She is not afraid to stand up to the oppressive rulers of Sumeru, the region of wisdom where she lives. She is also loyal to her friends and clients, and will not abandon them in times of need. She has a reputation as the "Flame-Mane" among the Eremites, a group of desert wanderers who hire their services to anyone who can afford them.

Dehya can be played in different ways depending on the player's preference and team composition. She can be an on-field DPS who makes use of both her skill and burst to deal damage and heal herself. She can also be an off-field support who provides damage mitigation, interruption resistance, and reaction enabling for her teammates. She can also trigger Burgeon with her skill's coordinated attacks, which deal additional damage based on the element of the reaction.

Powers, Abilities & Skills[]

  • Normal Attack: Gold-Duster Assault. She performs up to four strikes using her claymore and her martial arts. She can also drain stamina to perform continuous slashes, or plunge from mid-air to strike the ground.
  • Elemental Skill: Molten Inferno. She changes her skill depending on the combat situation. She can either create a Fiery Sanctum that damages enemies, reduces damage taken by allies, and generates dendro cores that can trigger her passive talent, Burgeon; or she can use a Coordinated Attack that deals additional damage based on the element of the reaction.
  • Elemental Burst: The Lioness's Bite. She enters the Blazing Lioness state and increases resistance to interruption. She unleashes a series of powerful slashes that deal pyro damage and heal her based on her max HP. However, while using her burst, she cannot perform normal or charged attacks.
  • Passive Talents: She has three passive talents that enhance her abilities and skills. Her first talent, Desert Warrior, increases her normal and charged attack damage after using her elemental skill or burst. Her second talent, Burgeon, allows her to deal additional damage with her coordinated attacks based on the element of the reaction. Her third talent, Oasis of Hope, increases the healing effectiveness of all characters in the party by 10% when she is in the Blazing Lioness state.
  • Constellations: She has six constellations that further improve her performance and provide various benefits. Her first constellation, Flame of the Desert, increases the duration of her Blazing Lioness state by 5 seconds. Her second constellation, The Lion's Roar, increases the damage of her Fiery Sanctum by 15%. Her third constellation, The Lion's Pride, increases the level of her Molten Inferno by 3. Her fourth constellation, The Lion's Courage, grants her an ATK bonus equal to 20% of her DEF when she is in the Blazing Lioness state. Weaknesses[]

  • She has a below-average damage output without buffs. Compared to other Pyro characters, her normal and charged attacks have lower multipliers, and her elemental skill and burst have longer cooldowns and higher energy costs.
  • She has a high elemental burst cost of 80, which makes it hard to use frequently. She also has a low elemental particle generation from her elemental skill, which means she relies on external sources of energy recharge.
  • She cannot perform normal or changed attacks while using her elemental burst, which reduces her DPS potential. She also loses the benefits of her claymore, such as breaking shields and geo constructs.
  • She is weak against enemies with high pyro resistance or immunity, such as pyro slimes, pyro abyss mages, and pyro regisvines. She also struggles against enemies with shields that require other elements to break, such as cryo shields and electro shields.
  • She has a low vase attack and defense, which makes her vulnerable to physical damage. She also has a low crit rate and crit damage, which limits her damage output.
